2007 was a busy and successful year for Julian's training group.
Notable successes included:
CHRISTIAN VAUGHAN completed his first Ironman triathlon in New Zealand in March, and will be going back with training partner JOHN POCOCK in 2008. Christian then went on to represent GB in the European long course champs in May.
DAN WHITE finished 4th in the world duathlon champs in Hungary in May.
In her first full year of competition FIONA LOVE represented GB in the Olympic distance world champs in Hamburg in September, and has qualified for Vancouver 2008.
CECILIA MORRISON represented GB in the world masters athletics champs in Rizzione in September, and surpassed all expectations by coming home with silver medals in both 5k and 10k.
JOHN POCOCK and DAN WHITE accompanied JULIAN GOATER to tackle one of cycling's severest tests in July, the Marmotte which takes in the notorious cols of Glandon, Telegraph, Galibier and Alpe d'Huez. A return visit with more of the squad is planned for 2008.
LANZAROTE TRAINING CAMPS were held in April and November last year. Several regulars attended, and enjoyed these camps so much they will be coming back for more this year. The next camp, planned for April 2008 is already full but if you are interested in the next camp, which will be held in November 2008, contact Julian for more details.
